Support Local Artists For Fall!

Support Local Artists in Cincinnati this Holiday Season!

With the holiday season swiftly closing in on us during a time when everything seems to be more and more expensive, now is the time to think COMMUNITY. FIRST. We tend to go to the big, conglomerate stores that dominate the global market, they have the money to spend on TV advertisements, big billboards, and radio-ads.  We want to try our best to support these artists and help them grow and possibly expand to areas that they could never dream of, and with your help, anything is possible. We've taken the time to highlight some of our favorite hometown entrepreneurs in the hopes that you'll see the shine we see!

Cece Laird, shop owner of Moss+Stone, has so many different kinds of brightly colored trinkets and mini terrariums to brighten up any of your loved ones shelves or tables! Venture over to her Instagram page to check out her unique crafting style that is sure to put on a smile on anyone's face! So many gift options for a simple thank-you or a warm display of fairy-tales, right on your bookshelf. Cece is also a stand-up comedian in Cincinnati and sometimes she even has her items at her shows so it's a DOUBLE WIN!

Lisa Marks-Smith at Designs by Lisa Smith has a gorgeous assortment of handmade jewelry using beautiful gemstones that won't break your bank account. Lisa has traveled to gemstone conventions across the country to acquire so many unique beauties that are all specially selected by her! Her love gems is shown through her jewelry. A sure way to gift a special item to a special someone! Check out her available options at Designs by Lisa Smith.

We're gonna switch up gears for a second now and give some EXTRA hometown love to a blossoming record label that is at it's seedling phase, proudly nurturing several musicians/singers/lyricists from so many different walks of life. Wicked Dead Records is sure to make their mark in the Cincinnati-music scene, proudly led by the fierce and fearless at Lucia Smith, a.k.a. Lulu Wicced, they provide one-of-a-kind merch that any lover of gothic apparel is for sure going to be a fan of, and you get to say, "I knew about them first".

Anthony Mansfield, artist/podcaster/shop owner of Kneel to No One hosts a variety of local art inspired by Cincinnati and realized through his vision. He proudly represents where he's from through various mediums and lanes and shows how he has been inspired by our beloved flying pigs to the hops that this city has proudly boasted and brewed for over a century. Grab a pint glass for Dad or an art piece to display above your Zinzinnati beer stein collection!

Lastly, I'm going to be extremely bias on this one. My tattoo artist Carrie Crutcher has an Etsy page and she definitely doesn't disappoint! Just looking at her items feels like a surge of endorphins, make sure to give them a glance and I'm almost positive that you'll find something for anybody that you know, not too mention, she does tattoos!

If there is one thing I have learned about Cincinnatians as a people, we are proud. Proud of the city that has progressed, proud of the traditions that we hold dear, and proud of the city that we have yet to become. Cincinnatians embody what it means to be genuine and real to their neighbors. We're the type of city that gets mentioned in movies, and shows, books, and magazines. Unique in every-way, the corner of Southwest Ohio, the true gateway to the West. The one and only Queen City with the most brightest and sparkling crown, with maybe a few scratches that give it it's defined texture. From graffiti to fine art, this artists' palette spectrum knows no bounds. Cincinnati continues to gain more and more momentum in the artists' domain. National-recognition is seeming to become a regular occurrence in our concrete-laden jungle. Now is the time to take the opportunity to support our artists to better cultivate our community and serve those who serve us. These artists don't just represent Cincinnati, they represent what lies at the core of every artist's heart, which is love of expression. Show your love.
